I’m at the 2016 D.C. Auto Show; the new Ford GT is not. I can understand why it was MIA last year, but why this year?!

On the plus side, everything else from Ford’s lineup is present at the show except for the GT350R, new Fusion Sport and their toughest commercial trucks. You’ll have to find the standard GT350 at the Mustang Club of America display. The Ford stand itself is much better than the one from last year, which was dominated by a wall that cast blue light onto everything.

Since they run the DC auto show at the same time essentially as Detroit, none of the show cars are ever there. It’s all essentially local dealer stock.

I feel like carmakers make an effort to show off even the latest reveals, like the new Pacifica that’s here. Lincoln even unveiled their refreshed Navigator here at a past show.

It’s been over a year since the initial Liquid Blue preproduction GT was unveiled, and it’s made the rounds at other shows in other colors and iterations. I’d hoped that at least one of those cars would be here.
